About our Chapter
The Southern Tier Chapter of NYSSFA represents school facility professionals across Broome, Chenango, and Tioga Counties, serving 26 school districts and BOCES. Our mission is to promote professional development, foster collaboration, and encourage the exchange of best practices to support safe, efficient, and well-maintained educational environments. Each year, the chapter hosts an annual golf tournament, typically held in August with proceeds used to fund scholarships.
Monthly Meetings
The Southern Tier Chapter holds monthly meetings from September through July at Genegantslet Golf Club, typically on the third Tuesday of each month at noon. Meetings often feature presentations from industry vendors and training sessions focused on school facility operations. Vendors interested in presenting are encouraged to contact Andrew Burlingame, Chapter President, at aburlingame@cvcsd.stier.org to schedule a meeting.
Chapter Elections
Chapter elections occur each December, with newly elected officers assuming their positions in January.
