Mold Laws and Regulations - Eileen Franko, Director, Division of Safety and Health, NYS Department of Labor
Eileen Franko is the Director for the Division of Safety and Health with the New York State Department of Labor. She has been working at DOL for six years. Her responsibilities include the Asbestos Control Bureau, Mold Licensing Program, On-Site Consultation, Boiler Safety, Public Employee Safety and Health, Engineering Services, and the Licensing and Certification Program. Prior to DOL she worked with the New York State Department of Health as the Director for the Bureau of Occupational Health. In addition, she was an Industrial Hygienist with the Albany Area Office for OSHA and prior to that a Sanitarian for the Albany County Department of Health. She has Masters Degrees in Public Health and Community Health Education and a Doctorate in Public Health from SUNY Albany School of Public Health. She received her undergraduate degree in Microbiology.
Mold, Moisture and Building Codes – in One Hour - Todd Crawford, Research Scientist, NYS Department of Health
Approved for 1.0 code enforcement training hour.
Todd Crawford is a Research Scientist at New York State Department of Health. He conducts research projects to investigate and respond to mold, chemical spills, vapor intrusion and other indoor air quality problems. He is an expert at training diverse audiences on indoor air quality, mold, flooding and oil spills. Prior to working for New York, Todd managed specialty laboratories to identify petroleum products and spent several years responding to chemical spills caused by train derailments.
