This presentation examines a first-hand account of taking a school district’s facility systems and records digital and is intended to educate the audience on electronic facility records (EFR). We will cover the challenges in the process, including training and changing the staff culture, as well as the many benefits to going digital, such as reducing labor hours and having building information centralized and on-demand. The presentation will include evidence-based data comparing before and after scenarios, as well as return on investment. The presentation will conclude with a future-facing look at technology and trends in the school facilities space.
