Each May, the Association hosts a retreat for all leaders to gather to learn about Association policy and procedures, address Association business, and share Chapter best practices. A board meeting is held, as well as time to network and discuss the skills necessary to be an effective leader. NYSED is also part of the presentation, providing the latest on compliance and the Office of Facilities Planning. It’s essential for all State Directors and Chapter Presidents to attend, as this Leadership Conference sets the framework for the year ahead.

The Conference location changes each year; it's typically held in the area where the current SFA president resides. Leaders are notified of Leadership Conference details and registration via email.
